Break Up With Your Diet – Sharing My Daily Eats

Last week I felt inspired to share my daily eats so I brought my camera and Break Up With Your Diet Journal along with me everywhere I went. I’m not sure whether I will include this as a regular part of the blog or not. I remember contemplating this as my website was going through its transformation in December. To share daily eats or not to share. I struggled with this decision because I find that a lot of people struggling with their relationship to food typically compare themselves to others, so me sharing my food may trigger others to feel that they need to eat exactly as I do down to the meticulous number of strawberries. On the other hand I enjoy reading others daily eats as a source of inspiration for recipes so I decided to go ahead with it. As you read this please remember this is supposed to be inspiring so that you can see first-hand that it’s possible to feel totally free from food.

DAY 1

Breakfast – chocolate peanut butter smoothie that I can’t get enough of! I added MSM, a few brazil nuts, matcha, and maca powder to this recipe. So satisfying.

Lunch – rawsagna (cucumber, marinara sauce, mushroom walnut “meat”, and cauliflower “cheese”) topped with nutritional yeast flakes

Afternoon snack – granola bar

Dinner – tofu rice wraps with peanut dipping sauce and coconut curry with rice

DAY 2

Morning water

Breakfast – banana chocolate chip pancakes. For some reason the recipe was really thick this time so they don’t look very pretty but they tasted amazing!

Lunch – pasta and marinara made with whole tomatoes, onion, garlic, broccoli florets, and some herbs, topped with nutritional yeast flakes.

Afternoon snack – chocolate peanut butter smoothie because… chocolate. Need I say more?

Dinner – I tried to re-create the coconut curry from last night. Unfortunately I didn’t get the coconut curry base right so it wasn’t as satisfying. This dish includes tofu with baby corn, eggplant, and broccoli.

Dessert – Since dinner wasn’t very satisfying I had a raw goji bite. Delicious!

DAY 3

Breakfast – I had some water and then drank a berry smoothie from Bee’z Smootheez on the way to my yoga class.

Lunch – toasted tomato sandwich with vegenaise and romaine lettuce. I was still hungry so I had a few energy bites.

Dinner – I was at a family BBQ so I had an assortment of options. I had some gnocchi, roasted vegetables, bean salad, corn on the cob, and a bun.

Dessert – CHOCOLATE. YUM! I had a slice of chocolate cake with some sliced strawberries.
